LawnBott Evolution LB3210 / LB3250 Review
Attn. Owner: LawnBott LB3210 Chassis Upgrade Kit - While Supplies Last
he LawnBott LB3210 / LB3210 (formerly LawnBott Evolution) is a small but mighty robotic lawn mower that can mow up to 3/4 of an acre right out of the box. This LawnBott only weighs 28 pounds but can manage lots up to 1.25 acres when upgraded to LawnBott LB3250 (with additional battery that weighs about 31 pounds).
The LawnBott LB3210 / LB3250 has been around a long time and has a strong track record has being one of the most reliable, trouble-free robotic lawn mower available.
The LawnBott Evolution LB3210 was the flagship LawnBott before the LawnBott LB3500 was introduced in 2008. The LawnBott LB3210 / LB3250 feature adaptive programming which learns the growth pattern of your lawn over time. It can then automatically modify its mowing schedule to around the actual mowing needs of your lawn. This feature saves battery life and lengthens the life of the electric motors.
Shipping now are the 2012 LawnBott Evolution LB3210 / LB3250 robotic lawn mower. The LawnBott LB3210 / LB3250 has an alarm, RF remote control, auto-programming, the added the ability to manage up to 4 different areas plus more.
As the LawnBott Evolution LB3210 / LB3250 robotic lawn mower drives along the lawn, it sends just the right amount of current to the blade motor. On high grass, it sends a high current which speeds up the blade. On lower grass, it slows down. This extends the life of the batteries and the mowing motors.
The LawnBott Evolution / LawnBott LB3210 robotic lawn mower can mow areas up to 33,000 sq.ft. That represents approximately 1 acre lot! It can mow slopes of up to 25°. If you add the optional spiked wheels, you will add even more traction to this robotic lawn mower.
The LawnBott LB3250 robotic lawn mower can mow lots up to 1.25 acres (or up to 40,000 sq ft of lawn) with the added second lithium battery. The added battery increases run times, gives the blade motor a slight boost and adds a little extra weight for thicker lawns.
When the LawnBott LB3210 / LB32150 encounter a section of thick or high grass, it will automatically concentrate in this area by mowing in a spiral. This feature allows the robot mower ensure the lawn is cut evenly.

The LB3210 / LB3250 Evolution comes with an radio frequency remote control. The remote control can be used to manually start an automatic mowing session, pause the LawnBott, and command it to find the docking station. The remote control can also be used to steer the robotic lawn mower while mowing (similar to a remote controlled lawn mower.) The LawnBott LB3210 / LawnBott LB3250 is the only LawnBott that comes with the RF remote control as a standard feature.
LawnBott lithium batteries weight about 2 lb. each. These batteries do not have a memory and have a computer chip inside to ensure they meet the 4 to 5 years life expectancy. A single lithium battery can power the LawnBott LB3210 over 3 hours on a single charge and it only takes about 2 to 3 hours to recharge. The LawnBott LB3250 can mow over 4 hours on a single charge with about 2.5 to 3.5 hours to recharge. A quick recharge time allows this robotic lawn mower to mow twice per day if needed.
The LawnBott are the only robotic lawn mowers that have been accepted by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
The LawnBott Evolution / LawnBott LB3210 can mow up to 25-degree slopes. Optional spiked wheels can be added to improve traction on slippery or damp lawns.
The LawnBott Evolution LB3210 and LB32150 are equipped with a rain sensor. With the LawnBott senses rain, it will automatically stop the blade and return to its docking station. The rain sensor could be set to have the robotic lawn mower stay in the dock until you restart it. You could disable the rain sensor via the user menu.
Bump sensors are activated when the LawnBott gently encounters an object such as a tree, wall, or any object over 4 inches high. This feature protects the mower as well as objects that may be on the lawn.
The LawnBott LB3210 and LB32150 can cover up to 4 mowing zones automatically with 3 user set entry points. (The docking zone can not be adjusted.) Zones are sections of your lawn. For example: your front yard can be one zone. Your side yard could be another zone and backyard a zone. In many yards the front and side areas can be combined into one zone depending on the size and yard configuration. The LawnBott Evolution LB3210 / LB3250 will follow the perimeter wire until it reaches the desired zone then mow inside. After it completes mowing, the lawn mower robot follows the wire back to the docking station to charge.
We gladly illustrate how to install your perimeter wire completely free of charge for all our customers.

The LawnBott LB3210 and LB3250 robotic lawn mower come with an alarm built inside. When the robot lawn mower is picked up, the alarm goes off. This alarm is not as loud and annoying as a car alarm, but loud enough to scream attention. In addition to the alarm, the LawnBott Evolution LB3210 / LB3250 robotic lawn mower (as well as all other LawnBott models) allow you to set a pin code before operating. This will render the robotic lawn mower useless in wrong hands.
The included disturbance filter increases compatibility with dog fences and AM radio frequencies. Interference is not a problem for more than 99% of installs, but it's nice to have this filter if you need it.
- Night time mowing
The LawnBott Evolution lawn mower can barely be heard standing 15 feet directly away from it. That's because they use quiet IMS custom motors which were designed specifically for LawnBott. The direct motor-to-wheel method does not use loud plastic gears found in the Robomower. Not only is motor-to-wheel very reliable, it is nearly silent but yet more than powerful enough to handle steep slopes.
All LawnBott robotic lawn mowers have a "predicted" life span of 8-10 years. The LawnBott Evolution LB3210 has been around long enough to live up to its expectations. All parts are user replaceable so it could last as long as you want it to. Compare 8 to 10 years to the average life span of a push lawn mower or a riding lawn mower which is 2 to 5 years.
The LawnBott LB3210 / LB3250 firmware can be upgraded completely free of charge by connecting the robotic lawn mower to a computer that is connected to the internet. You receive a free USB upgrade cable (LawnBotts.com exclusive) when you purchase a LawnBott from us.
